Fan belt, pulley and motor service
A fan that is clean but slipping, noisy or stopped still leaves smoke and heat in the kitchen. These are the parts that keep it drawing air.
Fan belt service and replacement
Many exhaust fans are belt-driven: the motor turns the fan through a belt. A worn, loose or glazed belt slips, and the fan moves less air than it should. We service and replace fan belts.
Pulley service and replacement
Pulleys carry the belt between the motor and the fan. A worn or misaligned pulley wears belts out early and adds noise and vibration. We service and replace pulleys.
Exhaust fan motor service and replacement
The motor is what drives the fan. When it struggles or fails, the whole exhaust system stops drawing air out of the kitchen. We service and replace exhaust fan motors.

Why clean the exhaust fan?
The fan sits at the end of the exhaust path, so grease-laden air passes through it on every shift. Grease that builds up on the fan and where it collects around it is part of the same system as the hood and ductwork.
What do fan belts, pulleys and motors do?
The motor drives the fan, usually through a belt running over pulleys. If any of the three wears out, the fan turns slower or stops, and less air is drawn out of the kitchen.
Can you replace a belt or motor during a cleaning visit?
